IL LARIO · INDEPENDENT JOURNAL OF LAKE COMO

Editorial standards

The rules the Lake Como Tribune newsroom holds itself to, published so readers can check us.

Verification

Every story rests on retrievable sources; news stories rest on two independent sources. Primary sources are required for government, law and money stories. Quoted passages are always verbatim and attributed. We do not invent facts, people, figures, prices, scores or visits.

Corrections

Errors are corrected on the article, dated and described, and logged on the Corrections page.

Opinion

Editorials, columns and letters are labeled as such and never mixed with news.

Images

Real photographs of the subject only, with recorded provenance and small-print credits on article pages alone.

Bylines

Articles are signed by the newspaper's editorial voices: Giulia Ferraro (managing editor), Alessandro Riva (municipal affairs), Chiara Colombo (business), Davide Moretti (territory and culture). They are editorial identities of the publication, not private individuals: each byline names the desk responsible for the piece, which is fully verified and approved by the newsroom under these standards. No personal biography, credential or affiliation is attached to these bylines.
