IL LARIO · INDEPENDENT JOURNAL OF LAKE COMO
On Saturday October 10 and Sunday October 11, the 15th national edition opens more than 700 places in 350 cities. In the Como area, only brand-new openings: the Navigazione Laghi shipyard, Palazzo della Rienza, the Fino Mornasco factories and, for the first time, Val d'Intelvi.
Three days of powerboating between Como and Cernobbio: trials and races counting toward world, European and Italian offshore titles, a paddock at Villa Erba's former gallop track, and a tribute to Stefano Casiraghi forty years after his 1986 victory.
Led by Sviluppo Como-ComoNExT, the bid centres on automation, technical textiles and advanced recycling. It is among the first six Innovation and Development Zones submitted to Regione Lombardia.
MoneyMag's 11 September 2026 report maps values around the lake: Como's waterfront reaches 7,000 euros per square metre, while Perledo starts at 1,200. International demand stays strong, but short-term rentals are cooling.
