Lecco won 5-0 away to Pro Vercelli on Friday 16 October at the Silvio Piola stadium, in round ten of Serie C, Group A. Federico Valente's Blucelesti came into the match from a 1-1 home draw with Alcione Milano, closed the first half two goals ahead, and ran away with the game after the break with five different scorers.

The opener came in the 21st minute: a through ball from Capello put Pellegrino in front of Livieri and the forward's diagonal finish broke the deadlock. Pro Vercelli tried to reply with a long-range effort from El Bakkali, held by Vettorel, while Casarotto went close to a second at the other end. In the 43rd minute Urso hit the post, and a minute later the second goal arrived: Mallamo's shot was cleared off the line by Van Koeverden and Casarotto turned in the rebound.

At the start of the second half Lecco settled the match in two minutes. In the 50th minute Manetti took advantage of a favourable rebound in the box and scored the third goal. In the 52nd, Urso cut into the area and scored the fourth, extinguishing the hosts' hopes of a comeback. Pro Vercelli, beaten for the second match in a row, never managed to reopen the game, and Vettorel kept a clean sheet until the final whistle.

The fifth goal came in the 78th minute: from the developments of a free kick, Sidler headed in to complete the five-goal tally. The closing minutes also brought a page to remember: Simone Famà, a midfielder born in 2010, came on in place of Capello and made his professional debut at 16.

The win ends a run of four matches without a victory and comes a few days after the home draw with Alcione. In the closing minutes the Blucelesti also went close to a sixth goal through Fasan, who had come on in the second half in place of Casarotto, while the defence allowed the hosts very little all evening.

With this win, their third of the season after those against Giana Erminio and Desenzano, Lecco move up to 13 points in the table.
