The paddock with the competing boats and team facilities will be set up in the former gallop track of Villa Erba in Cernobbio, while the Yacht Club Como will host the technical briefings, jury activities and final awards. Admission for the public is free along the shores: viewing points indicated by the organizers include the Villa Olmo promenade, the outer breakwater and viale Geno in Como, as well as Cernobbio and Blevio. The paddock and the club remain accessible only to teams, members and accredited guests.

Forty years after Casiraghi

The 2026 edition is also tied to the fortieth anniversary of Stefano Casiraghi's victory, the Como-born driver who won the Centomiglia in 1986 on a Tullio Abbate hull powered by a Lamborghini engine. The anniversary will be told through exceptional images and testimonies: his brother Marco Casiraghi, photographer Mario Brenna, who followed the driver through his sporting season, and Tullio Abbate Junior.

A race born in 1949

The Centomiglia is one of the world's longest-running powerboating competitions. The first edition started on September 4, 1949 from Como, with 34 crews at the start and 26 at the finish: Mario Marzorati won on a Taroni hull with a Gray Marine engine, averaging 66.022 kilometers per hour. Since then the race has become the Lario's nautical palio, the proving ground of the drivers, designers and shipyards that made Italian powerboating history.
